Young people at the age of 18-25, particularly those at risk, often face significant barriers to fully integrating in society and the labor market, such as dropping out of the educational system, a lack of suitable vocational training programs, the absence of support systems and few high-quality employment opportunities. These circumstances deepen the sense of alienation, impede the formation of personal and social identity, and diminish the opportunities for dignified employment and an independent future.
The local centers for the advancement of employment were founded against this background, The centers provide personal and career guidance, educational and vocational training programs, link recipients with employers and educational institutions, and act to promote social and economic mobility. The centers are a fresh starting point for the young men and women, providing an environment that fosters growth, the realization of potential, and the full integration in society and the labor force.
The program provides participants with the tools to shape and strengthen their personal and social identity, offering them educational completion courses, academic programs and vocational training. The center facilitates high-quality job-placement and forms collaborations with various educational institutions, employers and organizations.
Additionally, the center holds municipal and regional round-table sessions, assesses local needs, offers educational and vocational training courses, and dedicated skill-enhancement programs – all to expand the recipients’ sphere of opportunities and provide a solid
